CANFIELD, OH (WYTV)-The Canfield girls soccer team remained unbeaten Monday night as the Cardinals welcomed the defending state champions from Pennsylvania Villa Maria Academy and topped the Victors 3-1.

Anita Mancini got the scoring started off a free kick that was misplayed by the Villa goalkeeper allowing Mancini to put the rebound away inside the box to give the Cards a 1-0 lead.

A few minutes later Mancini doubled the lead for Canfield after Macey Malinky sent her alone against the keeper and Mancini calmly put it away.

The third goal came from the foot of Alana Petracci in the second half.

Canfield keeper Lauren Slanker had four saves as the Cardinals improve to 12-0 and 6-0 in the AAC Red Division.
