Man charged with drug trafficking after Beaver Twp. traffic stop

BEAVER TWP., Ohio (WYTV) – A Middleton Township man is facing drug trafficking charges after a traffic stop in Beaver Township last Monday.

Norman Shields, 46, is charged with trafficking in drugs — cocaine, possession of controlled substances — oxycodone and hydrocodone, and possession of marijuana.

Police said Shields was arrested after he was stopped on Market Street and South Range Road after a K-9 alerted to the vehicle. Shields had 29 grams of cocaine in seven individually-packaged bags, according to police.
