GIRARD, Ohio (WYTV) – Girard Police Chief Jeff Palmer says his officers are being vigilant and monitoring the “creepy clown” craze that has now entered the city.

This comes after someone reported seeing two clowns in a red Dodge pickup truck following a school bus on East Liberty Street Monday afternoon.

A witness sent the city a photo of the clown after following the truck to Belmont Avenue. This was the first reported “clown sighting” in Girard, but Palmer expects there will be more.

No illegal activity was reported along with this incident, but officers have been told to keep a lookout.
