YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – A man who caused St. Christine’s School in Youngstown to be placed on lockdown appeared in court Wednesday for his arraignment.

Elias Bray was charged with criminal trespassing and inducing panic, however, the inducing panic charge was dropped because the school was not evacuated.

Police said Bray was found hiding behind a dumpster on the school’s property during recess. The kids were sent back inside when he was spotted.

When officers arrived, they chased Bray through a wooded area and later arrested him. Police said there are “no trespassing signs” on the property.

Bray told officers that he is homeless and has a drug problem, according to the police report.

A preliminary hearing was set for 10:45 a.m. October 28.
