Harper led Jackson-Milton’s offense; doubles up Sebring

Next up for the Blue Jays, a matchup at rival-Western Reserve next Friday

NORTH JACKSON, Ohio (WYTV) – After last week’s setback to McDonald, Jackson-Milton rebounded nicely as they doubled up visiting Sebring, 28-14. The win gave the Blue Jays their 5th win of the season.

In the Jays’ five wins, they’ve outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points and gained an average of 381 total yards of offense. Jonathon Voland threw for 165 yards on 7 completions, 2 of which were for touchdowns. Jimmy Harper gained a game-high 146 rushing yards (TD). Noah Laster caught 4 passes for 86 yards.

After posting wins in their first two games of the season (over Windham and Southington), Sebring has failed to register a victory in their last five tries. The Trojans’ quarterback Robbie Rouse completed 6 passes for 116 yards (TD). Sebring’s workhorse running back Nate Martin scored once through the air and once via the ground. Martin finished his day with 72 yards rushing and 76 yards receiving.

Jackson-Milton and Sebring will both be on the road next week. The Blue Jays will play rival-Western Reserve while the Trojans will visit Lowellville.
