David Boss, Warren assault

WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – A man accused of attacking a neighbor in what he described as racism-fueled was sentenced Thursday in court.

David Boss was initially charged with felony assault. The charge was reduced to a misdemeanor, and he was sentenced Thursday to five years of probation with the jail time suspended. He was also ordered to have no contact with the victim.

His co-defendant, Alesia Code, was appeared in court Thursday as well. Her next court appearance was scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Oct. 18 in Warren Municipal Court.

Police said the feud between Boss, Code and their neighbors has been ongoing for awhile now. In August, it took a turn for the worse when police said Code and Boss physically attacked their neighbors.

Surveillance video shows Code in the parking lot of her apartment building off North Park Avenue, holding a sign that calls her neighbors racist.

Then her nephew, Boss, is shown attacking the male neighbor. At one point, Code threw the female neighbor to the ground.

The two said they were provoked by their neighbors, who Code said made threats to lynch Boss. She said she has an order of protection against the woman.
