AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) –  Halloween isn’t just a time for kids to dress up — it’s a fun time for pets, too.

Dogs and their families raised money for Legacy Dog Rescue on Saturday through their Bow Wow Ween costume contest in Austintown Township Park.

Prizes were awarded for best costumes in several categories. There was also plenty of fun with games and professional fall pictures.

“We have some games and it’s basically a real fun, non-spooky day that we have for family,” said Blase Bush, a board member of Legacy Rescue. “It’s also a small fundraiser for our rescue, too.”

Legacy Dog Rescue helps dogs that have been abandoned, abused or neglected and places them into loving homes.
