Warren PD: Suspect enters home when door opened for UPS man

The suspect pushed the UPS deliverer aside to get inside the house on Peace Avenue

WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – Police said someone entered a Warren home Monday afternoon after the door was opened for a UPS deliverer.

The woman who lives at the house on Peace Avenue told officers that the UPS man knocked on her door around noon. When she asked who was there, he answered, “UPS.”

According to police, the suspect entered the house when she opened the door for the UPS man. The suspect pushed him aside to get in and shoved the woman, knocking her to the floor, police said.

The suspect then attacked another woman who was in the home, choking her and stealing her cell phone, according to a police report.

The first woman threatened to call police. At that point, she said the suspect left in a gold Pontiac G6.

Police said the woman who was attacked has a child with the suspect, and has filed domestic violence charges against him in the past.

No arrests have been made in this case yet.
