A new Valley Health Center mental health facility opened on Market Street in Boardman.

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WYTV) – A counseling service that has been serving Trumbull and Portage counties is now moving into Mahoning County.

The ribbon was cut Wednesday on the new Valley Counseling satellite office on Market Street in Boardman.

The mental health facility will include social workers, therapists and case managers. It will offer mental health counseling, conduct psychiatric evaluations and help with medication management.

“It’s nice to have a resource that’s available right here off of Market Street. We were strategic in having this location so we can get the support to the community as fast as we can,” Anthonette Blake said.

The center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
