POLAND, Ohio (WYTV) – The 17th annual Home Run 5K and two mile walk took place Saturday at Holy Family Church in Poland.
About 130 people had on their running shoes — all to help Habitat for Humanity of the Mahoning Valley.
Today’s run is the organizations biggest fundraiser of the year.
“It helps us to be able to build houses and put families in homes,” said Monica Craven, Habitat for Humanity Mahoning Valley. “It’s really great to see the running community come out and show such great support for Habitat.”
Through fundraisers like Saturday’s, Habitat has been able to build 96 homes in the Mahoning Valley.
