YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Another man has pleaded guilty to his part in the April 2014 shooting death of Maurise Kerns.

Michael Wilkins was scheduled to appear in court for a bench trial on Tuesday. Instead, he pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter with a firearm specification.

In May, brothers Breandre Allen and Bralin Allen were sentenced to 20 years and 15 years in prison, respectively, for their role. The men pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter with a firearms specification and felonious assault.

Investigators said the shooting was in retaliation to a March 21 shooting in which Bralin Allen was shot.

Wilkins will be sentenced at 11 a.m. November 22.
