Velasquez throws 3 TDs again; Reserve wins the league outright

MINERAL RIDGE, Ohio (WYTV) – Western Reserve won their fifth consecutive game tonight over Mineral Ridge, 50-0. Reserve won the ITCL Blue Tier outright with their win. The Blue Devils compiled 490 yards of total offense compared to 111 by the Rams.

Just last week, Reserve’s Dominic Velasquez threw for 3 touchdowns against Jackson-Milton. Tonight, Velasquez tossed 3 touchdowns again as he threw for 160 yards and completed 8 of 16 passing. Wyatt Larimer caught 3 passes (2 for TDs) for 88 yards. Kade Hilles caught a pair of passes for 56 yards. Jack Cappabianca carried the ball 7 times for 115 yards and scored twice. Austin Seifert gained 58 yards on the ground.

Mineral Ridge’s Jarred Miller rushed for 118 yards. The Rams turned the ball over 5 times.
