Accident in Lowellville sends four to hospital

It happened when one vehicle backed out of a driveway; State Highway Patrol said the injuries are not life-threatening

LOWELLVILLE, Ohio (WYTV) – A serious crash in Lowellville Saturday night sent four people to the hospital. It happened when one vehicle backed out of a driveway.

Ohio State Highway Patrol said that a vehicle was driving west down Wood Street when that driver collided with another car heading out of a driveway.

A minivan was flipped on its side, and rescue crews had to get a person out of the minivan to take them to the hospital.

Both drivers and both passengers from the two cars went to St. E’s Hospital in Youngstown. State Highway Patrol said their injuries are not life-threatening.

“State Highway Patrol is called out due to the severity of the crash,” said Matt Voytek of State Highway Patrol. “Usually on residential roads, you don’t see something like this.”
