Paint the Ice returns to Covelli Centre

The ice rink is open to anyone who wants to come in and paint their message on the ice

Fans were able to purchase squares of ice for $10 apiece for painting their messages. The Phantom will then play on the messages and drawings during a "Pink in the Rink Game" on Saturday to raise awareness of cancer.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – People are invited to come to the Covelli Centre in Youngstown Wednesday to share their messages about breast cancer.

The ice rink is open to anyone who wants to come in and paint their message on the ice.

It’s called Paint the Ice Party and runs from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The messages will be seen during the Pink in the Rink game on Friday.

Tickets for Paint the Ice Party are $20 each and will also include a ticket to Friday’s game.

Part of the proceeds will go to the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center.
