YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Youngstown City Schools decided to ban clown costumes for the rest of the fall season due to recent scary clown sightings.
CEO Krish Mohip says that while there haven’t been any threats or sightings near the school, the district wants to be proactive.
“The safety of our students and staff is our top priority,” he said. “We believe that the elimination of these costumes can help our children enjoy their fall activities without being fearful or experiencing any undue anxiety.”
Canfield Schools also banned clown costumes for this year’s Halloween activities.
