Youngstown small business organization showcases 3D printing

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – An organization that helps Youngstown residents get their small businesses off the ground used the Halloween season to promote itself.

The Oak Hill Makerspace held its first “Maker Mash,” an open house for the public to see what it offers.

The center has seven 3D printers, as well as woodworking tools.

The Makerspace has seen success since it opened two years ago.

“We are getting people in that are working with each other and they are getting companies off the ground, small companies,” said Pat Kerrigan with the Oak Hill Collaborative.

The organization is hoping to give Youngstown residents who don’t have a computer degree the chance to use a 3D printer and other tools.
