Mahoning County Democrats host breakfast, urge voting

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WYTV) – There’s only 10 days until election day, and in an effort to motivate its committee members, the Mahoning County Democrats hosted a breakfast on Saturday.

The breakfast was at St. Luke’s banquet center.

Those in attendance heard words from Chairman David Betras, as well as some of the candidates running this fall.

They’re trying to motivate people to get out to vote.

Betras said he’s glad the local party members have competition this election because it will get people to the polls.

“That motivates them to get their volunteers and their supporters out, who of course, will support the top of the ticket,” Betras said. “But I’m confident in our people that are running for office will have resounding victories come November.”

Betras said the Democrats plan to canvass Sunday and all throughout next week for the candidates.
