BOARDMAN, Ohio (WYTV) – There were costumes on wheels in Boardman on Saturday, as the fifth annual Youth Halloween Party took place at Youngstown Skate.
Organizers said nearly 1,000 people showed up for the free event.
Whether they showed their moves on the rink or just wanted to crawl through the indoor playground, it was all in the spirit of having a good time.
“It’s an amazing feeling,” Charles “DJ ChipBanks” Colvin said. “They can get a free event in. It’s not stressful on the parents and they can just come out and have a good time.”
The two hours of free skating were provided by City Kids Care — a local charity that puts on youth outreach events and provides school supplies for kids in the Valley.
