YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Two men were arrested near St. Dominic Parish in Youngstown on Saturday after reports that they were inside a vehicle with several guns.

Police arrived to find three people sitting in a Buick LeSabre. Police said two rifles could be seen in the car.

The men were ordered out of the car by gunpoint. Police searched the car and reported finding an additional two rifles and several rounds, according to a police report.

When questioned as to why there were so many weapons in the car, a juvenile suspect told police, “Because these people held my friends at gunpoint and I wanted my stuff back.”

Joseph Jackson, 21, told police that he tracked a stolen phone to a house on Auburndale Avenue, and he was trying to get the stolen property back. He said his intention was not to hurt anyone but to have the guns for protection.

Markus Cameron told police that they planned to pull guns on the people who stole the items to “scare them.”

Cameron, Jackson and an unnamed juvenile suspect were charged with improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle and conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery. They were taken to Mahoning County Jail.
