WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – A man was arrested after reports he assaulted a woman and pulled a knife on his neighbors.

Warren Police were called to a Washington Street apartment around 9 p.m. Tuesday.

The reported victim told police that Michael Krevas, 30, pushed her down, causing her to hit the back of her head. Once on the ground, she said Krevas punched her in the face.

Krevas denied the assault. He said he pulled a knife on his neighbors to get them to leave his house after they came over uninvited and wouldn’t leave.

The neighbors said Krevas was upset that they were talking to his girlfriend, who they said he frequently hits. They said they never went into his house and were only trying to help the woman.

Police said Krevas was intoxicated and highly upset, but he stuck to his story. He was charged with criminal damaging for admitting to throwing a rock through the neighbors’ window, according to a police report.

Police said the woman would have to press assault charges with the prosecutor’s office, since it was not witnessed by an officer.

At the Trumbull County Jail, officers reported finding Krevas with suboxone strips. Additional charges may be filed, according to the report.
