LEAVITTSBURG, Ohio (WYTV) – LaBrae’s senior Kris Foor kicked the Vikings to a 29-26 victory over Wickliffe to advance to the Division V Regional Semifinals next week. Foor connected on a 22-yard field goal with six seconds remaining in the game to break the tie.

The Vikings’ quarterback Carlton Brown threw a first quarter touchdown and ran for another. Brown completed 14 of 19 passes for a season-high 274 yards. J.T. Wolke caught a 25-yard score and also rushed 6-yards for six points. He finished with 2 carries for 8 yards and 3 receptions for 48 stripes. Arjay Oliver had 16 offensive touches (13 rushes, 3 catches) for 132 yards (54 rushing, 78 receiving). Tariq Drake caught 5 passes for 76 yards.
In the fourth quarter – Isaac Pettway raced 23-yards to give Wickliffe the six point lead (26-20) with just 4:14 left. Then almost two minutes later – with 2:20 remaining – LaBrae’s Brown ties the game at 26 after his touchdown run. The extra point was blocked. The Viking defense recovered a fumble deep in Blue Devil territory late in the contest to setup the last second field goal.
During the regular season, Wickliffe averaged 44 points in their eight wins. In their two losses (to Perry and West Geauga), the Blue Devils were only able to manage a scoring average of 7 points.
