YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Two women were shot Monday night, according to Youngstown police.
The shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Cohasset Drive.
Police said one of the women, 21-year-old Nicole Hester, who lives on Crandall Avenue, was shot in the arm.
Police also said the other woman, 24-year-old Olivia Moellenkamp of Columbus, was found sitting in the front yard of the house with a bullet wound to her shoulder.
Earlier that day around 1:30 a.m., Hester was arrested by the Ohio State Highway Patrol for drunk driving. Then, around 3:30 a.m., Canfield police picked her up and arrested her for the same thing.
At that Canfield stop, police also arrested Moellenkamp for felony drug possession.
Both are due in court Tuesday in Canfield.
Both were taken to St. Elizabeth hospital in Youngstown after the shooting.
The victims haven’t yet told officers what happened. Police have not made any arrests for the shooting yet.
