Meadville overwhelms Grove City for D-10 Title

The Bulldogs scored 48 points in the first half and went on to capture the Class 5A District 10 Title Saturday.

GREENVILLE, Pennsylvania (WYTV) – The Meadville football team jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in a 67-27 win over Grove City Saturday in the Class 5A District Championship.

The Bulldogs led 20-0 after the first quarter thanks to touchdowns from Antonio Ferraro (40 yards) and Journey Brown (74 yards). Chris Fitzpatrick also returned a punt 53 yards for a score.

Grove City got on the board in the 2nd quarter on a 21 yard pass from Kam Patterson to A.J. Turner. Nick Murawski also returned a kickoff 77 yards for a touchdown for the Eagles.

But the Bulldogs led 48-13 at halftime and capped things off in the second half for the District 10 Championship.

Grove City finishes the season at 10-2, both losses coming the Meadville. The Bulldogs advance to play Hollidaysburg next week in the PIAA State Tournament.
