HERMITAGE, Pa. (WYTV) – The man who police say shot a coworker inside the Hermitage Wal-Mart earlier this month was in court Tuesday morning.
An attorney for 22-year-old Zachary McClimans asked the judge to give him more time to prepare for the case. The judge agreed and set a preliminary hearing after Thanksgiving.
McClimans is charged with attempted murder after police say he shot Jayson Hall four times inside the store.
McClimans said he felt threatened by Hall after he revealed he was transitioning gender. He said he reported the threats to Wal-Mart management, but he felt management hadn’t done anything to stop the threats.
Store officials have not commented on the case.
