COMPASS receives $15,000 grant from AT&T

The contribution will help COMPASS assist people with finding jobs matching their skills

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – A Youngstown workforce development program has received a big boost.

COMPASS Community and Family Services was granted a $15,000 donation from AT&T.

The contribution will help COMPASS assist people with finding jobs by focusing on workplace skills to move people into growing and in-demand jobs.

“All employers need good-quality individuals, and so we try to direct people where their strengths are and help them find jobs where they can be most successful,” said Joseph Caruso, president and CEO of COMPASS.

COMPASS provides training, and then each person receives job planning and placement assistance until they get a job.

Compass’ programs serve people people from infancy through their senior years in Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana and Jefferson counties.
