New Castle’s season comes to a close

PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania (WYTV) – Thomas Jefferson continues their perfect season by handing New Castle a 42-0 loss this evening in the WPIAL Quad A Championship game at Heinz Field. Last year, the Jaguars defeated Central Valley in the WPIAL (AAA) Championship.

TJ’s Quinton Hill scored 3 touchdowns and gained 248 yards on the ground.

The Jaguars shut out their seventh opponent this year. In this matchup, the Jags outgained the Canes 384-63 and were able to move the chains 19 times compared to New Castle’s 5 first downs.

New Castle’s Cinderella run comes to an end at 8-5. Marcus Hooker ran for 19 yards on 12 attempts.
