Sparked by its dominant defense, Warren JFK pounds Norwalk

The Eagles scored three defensive TDs in the first half as they jumped out to a 36-13 lead

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio (WYTV) – Warren JFK pounced on Norwalk St. Paul on Saturday night and never let up.

In a Division VII regional playoff showdown, Warren JFK dominated Norwalk, 48-13, at Pat Catan Stadium in Strongsville to advance to the state final four for the first time since 2006. The Eagles will now face Harvest Prep next Saturday.

JFK led 29-0 in the second quarter.

Evan Boyd’s 4-yard TD run gave JFK an early 8-0 lead before the defense got in on the action. Ross Nocera scored on a fumble recovery to make it 15-0, while Boyd took an interception back for a TD for a 22-0 lead.

Then, after Boyd scored on a 1-yard TD run, Nocera returned an interception 60 yards for a touchdown as JFK led 36-13 at halftime.
