United Way receives another large donation toward school program

Home Savings presented the $100,000 check on Tuesday

Home Savings donates to the United Way's Success After 6 program.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – The United Way of Youngstown received another big donation Tuesday, this time coming from Home Savings.

Home Savings presented the $100,000 check during the United Way’s Success After 6 Thanksgiving Dinner at St. Dominic’s Church.

The company is hoping that the money helps the Success After 6 program continue to grow.

“That gets a school going for the most part and that’s what we were trying to do. If we can get another 100 to 125 kids involved with program and get the sort of outcomes we got at the Youngstown community schools, then mission accomplished,” said Gary Small, Home Savings CEO.

The United Way has reached 65 percent of their donation goal of $2.8 million this year.
