Report: Couple’s feud ends in felonious assault charges in Youngstown

Police arrested Alwayne Green, Jr. and charged him with felonious assault

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – A feud between a couple on the south side of Youngstown ended with a man using his vehicle to as a weapon, according to a police report.

A woman told police she had been arguing with her former boyfriend, identified as Alwayne Green, Jr., earlier in the day on Dec. 3, and was later driving on Chicago Avenue when she spotted him driving towards her.

The woman said Green hit her vehicle with his car, breaking off the driver’s side mirror, according to a police report.

The woman stopped her vehicle on Chicago Avenue and was assisted by a witness who was passing by. The woman was standing outside the witnesses vehicle when Green drove back around and hit the woman, pushing her into the side of the witnesses vehicle, according to the report.

Officers were called to the scene and police noted in the report that there was damage to the witnesses vehicle consistent with the victim and witnesses’ report of events.

An ambulance was called, but the victim refused treatment.

Police located Green driving on Sherwood Avenue where he was stopped and placed under arrest.

Green denied hitting the victim with his vehicle.

Green was charged with felonious assault and is currently being held in the Mahoning County Jail.
