NILES, Ohio (WYTV) – Tuesday was a dream come true for a 10-year-old boy from Leavittsburg.
The Make a Wish Foundation granted Nash Ballentine’s wish of a shopping spree at the GameStop in the Eastwood Mall.
Nash fought Ewing’s sarcoma, a rare bone cancer which forced doctors to remove part of his shoulder blade. His mother says he’s been cancer free for almost four years now.
Nash decided to buy a new Nintendo Wii and a few new games.
“Pretty exciting. He couldn’t sleep last night, he was so excited,” said Nash’s mother, Christine Ballentine.
Christine says they planned to do a little more shopping in the mall, before the family headed to Chuck E. Cheese’s.
