YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Work to upgrade Lincoln and Wick avenues is finishing up ahead of schedule and will be complete soon.

Lincoln Avenue is expected to reopen to traffic by Christmas.

Work began in September on the road that runs through Youngstown State University’s campus. It has remained closed since that time.

Work included new utility lines and streetscaping. Work is also being done on Wick Avenue, and that is expected to be finished sometime next year.

The total cost of the project is $1.4 million
