YSU Penguins on the ground in Washington

CHENEY, Wash. (WYTV) – The Youngstown State Penguins are on the West Coast.

The chartered plane took off Thursday, but got off to a bit of a rocky start. The plane was delayed about 90 minutes due to some mechanical issues.

In the end, everyone arrived safely in Washington Thursday night.

Coach Bo Pellini will hold a light workout with his team on Friday to familiarize players with the frigid temperatures as well as the red turf.

The Penguins take on Eastern Washington Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
