Gajdos’ 25 helps Poland to 7-0 start

Poland hosts Jefferson this Wednesday.

POLAND, Ohio (WYTV) – Bella Gajdos’ 25-point effort helped the Poland girls to a 67-53 win tonight over Harding. Gajdos also put together a stat line of 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals as she was a perfect 8 for 8 from the foul line. Emily Melnek added 12 points and Maggie Sebest (10 rebounds) and Jillian Penman (4 assists) had 10 points apiece.

Poland (7-0) made 19 of their 26 free throw attempts (73.1%).

Harding featured three players who scored in double figures led by Kia Allen (12 points). Number 3 was 4 of 5 from the free throw line and finished with 7 rebounds. Chardonnay Burke and Joe’l Moss each had 11 points. Moss closed out the contest with a team-high 12 rebounds.

Harding will travel to Fitch on Wednesday while the Lady Bulldogs take on Jefferson.
