YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – A Youngstown woman’s pit bull puppy that was stolen from her yard has been returned.
A woman said she found the dog on the city’s north side.
Ashley Perrine said she adopted her three-month-old dog, Latte, two weeks ago. Latte was then stolen from the fenced yard behind her home while she was inside for about 10 minutes.
Perrine said she then saw an advertisement listing the dog for sale online.
Animal Advocate Jason Cooke said the woman who found Latte is receiving a reward for finding Latte. He said the dog was dirty and covered in fleas as if it had been outside for awhile.
The dog is being cleaned up and taken to Animal Charity, where it will be micro-chipped.
Youngstown police were investigating the case. No one has been charged at this point.
