Police: Motorcycle crash in Hubbard sends two to hospital

The crash happened around 4:30 p.m. at Broadway Avenue and Hubbard Road

Two people are in the hospital after a motorcycle crash in Hubbard Sunday afternoon.

HUBBARD, Ohio (WYTV) – Two people were injured in a motorcycle crash in Hubbard Sunday afternoon.

The crash happened around 4:30 p.m. at Broadway Avenue and Hubbard Road (Route 62).

According to Highway Patrol, a motorcycle, driven by 51-year-old Gary Roth of Youngstown, was going westbound on Hubbard Road. Highway Patrol said that’s when a car, driven by 20-year-old Angelina Buford of Hubbard, failed to yield at a stop sign on Broadway and pulled into Roth’s path.

The motorcycle hit the car, and Roth and an 18-year-old passenger were thrown from the bike.

Roth wasn’t wearing a helmet, although the 18-year-old girl was wearing one.

They were transported to St. Elizabeth Health Center with serious injuries.

The crash is under investigation, and no charges were filed yet.
