WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – Police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened in front of a school bus carrying children in Warren.

Police identified the victim on Thursday morning as Charles Parisi, age 29.

Dispatchers said Parisi was shot just before 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Deerfield Avenue and Surfwood Circle. He died before police arrived.

“We got a call there was a man down by a motorcycle who had been shot. When officers arrived on the scene, we found him there, expired,” Lt. Martin Gargas said.

The body was removed from the scene around 9 p.m.

911 call: “I told her not to let any students off”

A school bus driver made the initial call to 911 after seeing a man get shot off a motorcycle, according to information from dispatchers. The bus driver left the area because there were children on the bus.

The caller reported hearing two shots but didn’t see a shooter.

A witness said the victim went down and a suspect walked up to him and shot him again, according to dispatchers’ records.

Information from Trumbull County 911 indicates that three men ran from the scene.

According to dispatchers, police took one person into custody who was located nearby.

All buses were ordered to go to the Jefferson Schools parking lot.
