Pa. State Police investigate fatal crash near Lake Latonka

Police are working to identify the passengers in the car

MERCER COUNTY, Pa. (WYTV) – A man was killed after the ATV he was driving rolled over.

According to Pennsylvania State Police in Mercer, Hunter Strang, 18, of Pittsburgh, was driving a four-wheeler about 4:15 p.m. Sunday in a field/dump site owned by Lake Latonka, off of Williamson Road, when he lost control of the ATV on a steep grade.

Police say Strang was climbing a hill when he got too close to the edge and toppled over the north side of the hill. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said dark conditions and tall grass likely obscured Strang’s view of the steep grade.
