Crews respond to smoke pouring out of Mercer County building

GREENVILLE, Pa. (WYTV) – Smoke was coming from a building in downtown Greenville Monday night.

Fire trucks lined Main Street as crews battled the fire at an old dance studio.

The building is vacant, but there are two businesses on either side — a salon and a dentist’s office.

Crews quickly put out the fire that started around 7:30 p.m.

A firefighter from Transfer was injured when a hose came off a hydrant and hit him in the leg.

There’s no word on how the fire started.
